Colette L. Kopon
Ms. Kopon handles a range of complex civil litigation matters, including employment law, class actions, food safety commercial litigation, insurance coverage, and product liability cases. Ms. Kopon also has substantial experience conducting internal investigations and counseling clients in connection with investigations and regulatory actions by Government agencies.
Ms. Kopon maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented incarcerated individuals in civil rights actions and habeas corpus proceedings, as well as individuals seeking asylum in the United States.
Previously, Ms. Kopon served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Virginia M. Kendall in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. While in law school, Ms. Kopon was the President of the Moot Court Honor Society and received CALI awards for earning the highest grades in her trial advocacy, evidence, pretrial litigation, and federal courts classes.
