Daniel Myerson is a civil litigator with broad experience in federal courts, state courts, and numerous administrative bodies, with particular expertise in employment litigation and public sector matters. He has experience in all phases of litigation, including providing pre-litigation advice and counseling, discovery including party depositions and e-discovery, settlement through both informal negotiations and settlement conferences, dispositive motion practice, hearing, and appeal. He is a 2010 graduate of Loyola School of Law and has been licensed to practice in Illinois and the Northern District of Illinois since that time.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Myerson served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the City of Chicago’s Department of Law, defending both the City and individual defendants in a wide variety of employment and labor-related litigation, including suits under § 1983, federal and state anti-discrimination laws, breach of contract, and other state and federal employment-related torts. He also litigated arbitrations and administrative proceedings for the City, including about thirty discipline or discharge hearings of police officers and other public employees. He also worked at a Chicago law firm handling a broad range of cases for primarily corporate clients, including tort suits, employment matters, insurance coverage, and commercial litigation.
