Jakub M. Ciesielski
Jakub Ciesielski’s area of practice focuses on the litigation of complex civil matters, including mass tort litigation, personal injury defense, premises liability matters, and the unique needs of schools and religious institutions. Mr. Ciesielski works with attorneys all across the country in representing a national Risk Pooling Trust by helping to strategize and oversee litigation of suits against the Trust’s members. Locally, Mr. Ciesielski has successfully drafted and argued dispositive motions and negotiated favorable settlements for his clients.
Mr. Ciesielski joined the firm in 2014 after earning his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He also earned Chicago-Kent’s Certificate in Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution while acquiring experience in both civil and criminal litigation. He received Dean’s List Honors each semester and mentored a first-year law student.
During law school, Mr. Ciesielski clerked with the Law Office of the Cook County Public Defender where he gained trial experience representing indigent defendants. He has also worked as a mediator with the Center for Conflict Resolution resolving civil disputes and facilitating communication between the parties.
