Lisa M. DeLeon
Ms. DeLeon’s practice focuses primarily on insurance defense litigation, including cases involving premises liability, construction negligence, professional liability, transportation accidents, wrongful death, and products liability.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. DeLeon represented both plaintiffs and defendants in complex civil litigation matters. She has extensive experience handling cases involving serious personal injury, such as paralysis, brain damage, CRPS and systemic infections. Ms. DeLeon’s experience extends to all phases of litigation, including appellate advocacy and participation in multiple jury trials.
During law school, Ms. DeLeon was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and a finalist in the Charles Evans Hughes Moot Court Competition. She was the recipient of the CALI award for outstanding legal writing, and also earned a 4.0 GPA in trial advocacy and appellate advocacy courses. She additionally served as an editor of the Seventh Circuit Review, a law journal dedicated to examining relevant issues addressed by the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. DeLeon currently serves as an executive board member of the Latino Alumni Association of Northwestern University (LANU).
