Michael J. Bankhead
Michael Bankhead’s practice focuses primarily on complex civil litigation in both state and federal court. Michael represents and defends small and medium-sized businesses and housing authorities which are sued in a variety of tort matters.
Prior to joining Kopon Airdo, LLC, Michael worked as an Assistant Attorney General with the State of Illinois for seven years. Michael handled a wide range of cases while with the State, including personal injury cases involving serious and catastrophic injuries, breach of contract cases, premise liability and wrongful death cases. He also handled employment matters before administrative governmental agencies. Prior to becoming an Assistant Attorney General, Michael was a solo practitioner representing individuals in civil matters including landlord/tenant disputes, foreclosures, family law and collection defense.
Mr. Bankhead attended Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois and received his law degree from DePaul College of Law in 2006. He is a member of the Illinois Bar and is also admitted to practice in the United State District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
