Dismissal Obtained for Private Chicago High School in Rehabilitation Act and Section 1981 Case

Andrew Kopon Jr. received a dismissal with prejudice of all federal claims in district court on behalf of a Chicago private high school where the plaintiffs alleged that an African-American student diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and classified as a student with learning disabilities under the Individuals with Disabilities Act, (IDEA), 20 U.S.C.1401(3)(i)(ii) allegedly violated Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, as well as 42 U.S.C. Section 1981.
