Private: Another Postponement for the NLRB Posting Requirements
The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) issued a final rule requiring all employers covered by the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), to post a notice informing employees of their rights under the NLRA. The original posting requirement was effective on Nov. 14, 2011, and covers both union and non-union employers. The deadline was subsequently extended to January 31, 2012.
On December 23, 2011, the NLRB again postponed the implementation of its final rule due to pending federal litigation challenging the rule. The new effective date is April 30, 2012. There have been no changes to the substance of the rule.
