Alyssa M. Lane

Attorney

Alyssa M. Lane tries complex civil cases. Her primary focus is on the defense of long-term care and assisted living facilities. She is an expert in the regulations regarding nursing homes and prides herself on ensuring that the medical professionals who devote their lives to the aged and infirm are zealously represented.

For four years, and prior to joining Airdo Werwas, LLC, Alyssa was an Assistant State’s Attorney with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. There she proudly represented the State of Illinois in criminal matters. While at the State’s Attorney’s Office, Ms. Lane participated in numerous branches including complex litigation and felony assessment. She tried numerous cases before judges and juries in the County’s Courthouses and conducted countless investigations and witness coordination.

Ms. Lane is a graduate of Northern Illinois University where she studied Political Science with an emphasis in Public Policy. Alyssa graduated from Valparaiso University College of Law in December 2018. During law school, she was a member of the Trial Advocacy Team, and the winner of her school’s Intra-School’s Advocates Competition, as well as participating in the Criminal Law Clinic. Alyssa was a licensed 711 holder and participated in internships in the legal fields of private criminal defense and written appeals.

When she’s not in the courtroom, Alyssa enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
